What are the red flags that indicate a company doesn’t prioritize work-life balance?
🚩 Excessive overtime (sometimes creeping in slowly—30 extra minutes today, an hour “max” tomorrow!),
🚩 Low wages,
🚩 Work-related calls after hours,
🚩 Lack of support for employees’ personal lives.
These are just a few signs that your employer might not be a big fan of work-life balance!
Why is this so important? Work-life balance allows for flexible working hours, remote work, and sufficient rest time. 🌿 In countries like Sweden and Norway, where a more balanced work model has been introduced, employees enjoy a better quality of life and less stress.
Studies show that satisfied employees are more productive, which benefits companies in the long run. It’s a win-win situation, right? 😊
Good legal regulations—such as those in the European Union—help prevent exploitation, but many industries are still fighting for better working conditions. Trade unions and government policies play a crucial role in promoting a healthy work-life balance.
